Community Rules[]

  1. Please be respectful of one another. Bigoted or otherwise hurtful communications will not be tolerated.
  2. Staff have the final say in every situation and reserve the right to act how they see fit, even if against standard protocol.
  3. Good faith will be assumed in cases where a rulebreaking user does not appear to be acting with malicious intent. "Good faith" edits are entitled to two warnings before being blocked.
    1. In minor cases, it is unlikely that the user will see any punishment.
  4. Obviously malicious users are subject to being banned without warning.

Editing Policy & Article Standards[]

  1. Articles are to be written in standard American English. Although the subject of this wiki is a British band, we have already committed to using American spelling on pages and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future for the sake of consistency. This rule does not apply when writing song, album, or band names which normally use British spelling in their titles, such as "Green Is the Colour". This rule is subject to change.
  2. All information must be objective with unbiased, verifiable sources.
    1. This does not exclude popular speculation from being included; if addressing a relevant rumor, be sure to note foremost that it is merely speculation. For example, in the article for The Dark Side of the Rainbow, a popular rumor that claims the 1973 Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon musically synchronizes with the visuals of the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz, it is stated immediately in the first sentence that the subject of the article is an urban legend.
  3. Album and song titles are to be written in italics. Song titles in particular are to be closed in "quotes," like so. For example, "Money" would be proper whilst Money would be incorrect. However, in the introductory sentence of the article, the subject must be introduced in bold text instead of italics.
  4. No plagiarism! Plagiarized text is subject to removal.

New articles[]

  1. New articles must be relevant to Pink Floyd or the lives/careers of its members.
  2. Duplicate articles will be deleted or merged with existing articles.
  3. At this time, we will not be creating articles for instruments or equipment used by the band.
