Polly Samson is an English writer who was born on April 29 1962. She has been married to Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour since 1994. She has contributed lyrics to many of her husband's songs, including most of the tracks on The Division Bell, Gilmour's 2006 album On an Island, and the 2014 track Louder than Words.
