"When the Tigers Broke Free" is a song by the English rock band Pink Floyd. Originally featured in two parts in the 1982 film adaptation of their 1979 rock opera The Wall, it was released as a single in the UK on July 26, 1982. Although it was not originally a part of the album, the 7" single was labeled "Taken from the album The Final Cut". Years later, an extended version of the song was released on Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd and reincluded on The Final Cut in reissues beginning in 2004.
